The government (and military) use acronyms all the time, and sometimes they do not even know what they stand for. I like to come up with my own verbiage of what acronyms really mean. For example, for the past couple years, I have referred to the TSA as the “Tyrants of Sexual Assault” …since it clearly fits exactly what their job description entails.

For this year’s Tax Day, here is a possible list of what the IRS really means. What’s amusing about the name “Internal Revenue Service” is the word “Service.” They provide absolutely no service at all. A service is a company I “need,” such as the plumber, dry cleaners, mechanic, etc. Since I do not “need” the IRS to take my money, I will not be using their service.
