This is an actual photo of the moon as seen over Las Vegas on Saturday August 29, 2009. The red color is caused by the smoke from the wildfires burning in southern California (about 250 miles to the south west). The smoke arrived in Las Vegas around 10:30pm bringing that wildfire smell and causing the moon to appear to turn red.
And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit.
And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke.
The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the Lord come.
And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the Lord hath said, and in the remnant whom the Lord shall call.

The red moon is a sign of the times in the Last Days before the Second Coming of Christ. As the scriptures state that the moon shall turn a blood red . Based on what has recently happened with the California wild fires, it would seem that things like war, volcanic eruptions, nuclear explosions, or the great massive earthquake before the Lord’s Second Coming would have the same effect.
