In the town of Brenham, Texas (Home of Blue Bell Ice Cream), a bank has encouraged the lawful concealed carry of firearms. We could speculate a variety of different reasons why they are doing this: slow response time from law enforcement, inadequate funding for sufficient security, has previously had multiple robberies, and not to mention that the “no guns allowed” signs are basically the same as “come rob me” signs.
So, what has this bank done. There is now a sign, now prominently displayed on the bank’s front door, says, “Lawful concealed carry permitted on these premises. Management recognizes the Second Amendment of the U.S. Constitution as an inalienable right of all citizens. We therefore support and encourage the carrying of licensed concealed weapons.”
Chappell Hill Bank President Edward Smith said that he made the policy change to send a warning to potential robbers, and also to express support to Americans’ right to bear arms.

[...] So, as an entrepreneur, I’m in the business to open yet another bank account. One bank I stopped by caught my interest, and not in a good way. They lost my business before I was even able to enter through the door. I’m an NRA firearms instructor and avid supporter of 2nd Amendment gun rights, and I find it ludicrous the extent that this bank went to prohibit guns, completely opposite of what this Texas Bank did in support of guns.
